Im seeing a lot of people make really good points about things on my dash regarding sexual violence of various asoiaf characters, but then sprinkled in somewhere, a lot of folks are also trying to say that Theon’s torture doesn’t have a sexual/sexualized component to it. I suppose if you are going off the show so far, that much is true. HOWEVER, it’s often looked over in the books as well, so I wanted to talk a little bit about the various, very serious ways in which Theon is a constant victim of sexual abuse/humiliation/torture. Regardless of the posts floating around and their intentions, I thought it might be a good idea to discuss this a little bit and re establish what many of us already know.

“There are no heroes…in life, the monsters win.”

Guys if there was a Westerosi version of the Oscars, Ramsay would be going home with his arms full of awards. Look at his face when he says Jaime killed Torrhen; Theon says he’s a Karstark and Ramsay just improvises and transforms into Eddard Karstark in a matter of seconds, a man who’s furious to be reminded his brother is dead. Everything about his face just screams rage, over the death of someone Ramsay doesn’t even know. He is so dedicated to torturing Theon, he has no problem changing faces as often as he wants. And let’s not even talk about Iwan Rheon who’s playing secondary characters within his main character.
