I’m still a believer in the Batman.

There's a storm coming, Mr. Wayne.

“Now what’s the next step of your master plan?”
“Crashing this plane.”

“There’s only one police in this town.”

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

This is my favorite scene in the film because it’s one of those scenes that really emphasizes the symbolism behind the Batman. Without Bruce/Batman, Gotham was shattered and broken under Bane’s ruling. But the moment the police saw the Batwing (the flying machine), they were suddenly filled with hope. The Batman is a symbol of hope.

Honestly I don’t know. I mean, this is the truth. I don’t think it’s necessarily a set-up. I think it is a great ending for that trilogy. and even if you go back to “Batman Begins”, he’s talking about how Batman is more than a man, it’s a symbol. A hero can be anybody. and we all have heroes inside of us and that’s the theme that runs throughout the entire trilogy.

A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a little boy’s shoulder to let him know that the world hadn’t ended.
